We love that we celebrate our Mother's

This weekend really is special because it's a celebration of the love and support our Mother's have given us. What is your Mom like? and why is she special to you? Whether she was there for you with the love and support you needed or not, it's an important time to think about the good qualities your Mother has, and how she has effected you in your life.
Neither Alfredo or I sent our Mom's cookies this Mother's Day, whoops. BUT we did send other non-edible trinkets symbolizing our love for them. We will be making lots of cookie dough this weekend, and thinking about how none of this could have been possible without the LOVE and SUPPORT our Mom's have given us.

Usually we tend to make ourselves breakfast. Well, Alfredo eats a good well-balanced bfast every morning actually...but I tend to delve into the cookie dough some days. Today may just be one of those days where I forget what my Momma told me (no sweets for breakfast), and grab myself a jar of oatmeal raisin chocolate chip. My Dad always told me pie was an alright bfast because it has fruit, as well as carbs to keep me energized. I don't really agree with that, but I'm sure it helps my reasoning on the oatmeal raisin cookie dough bfast. I mean, it's a lot healthier of a choice for breakfast than PIE! I'll call Dad and let him know...

I'm not sure if it's the time change or the lack of sleep while we were at EXPO West, but it is REALLY hard to get back on track! Nonetheless it's a beautiful day to go into the kitchen and package some Gluten-free cookie dough! We're on a gluten-free production run right now. Always so nice because the entire kitchen gets a thorough cleaning-----we sanitize the whole facility! If there are any other flavors you're craving, let us know--in an experimenting mood. Still perfecting that GF sugar cookie...

NATURAL PRODUCTS EXPO WEST!

AH, home from Natural Products EXPO West and finally sitting after 4 days of well...not sitting. Funny enough I didn't even notice the time working the show. The days flew by! It was SO much fun, and we met a lot of great people. Of course we ate a lot of great food as well (there was so much fun yummy vegan goodies there!) It's so nice to have an event where we natural products of all sorts can come together, be tasted, and be celebrated. There really is nothing like it!
Now for us to get back in the swing of things down here in San Diego! But for tonight, I think we'll just chill with our pup ;)

the day after Thanksgiving and I'm feeling thankful. So glad we didn't participate in a fasting like we did last Thanksgiving. Although, this year I was a lot busier cooking and baking...not sure which is better...

Here at the airport, waiting for my flight home to San Diego. It's been 3 whole days since being away, and I'm already missing the kitchen! I need my cookie dough! It's as if our 6 flavors of cookie dough are my children, and I left them for 3 days. That may sound a bit crazy, but what can I say? I love my job! Time to board!

Cookie Dough Testing

Everyday I work in our kitchen packaging cookie dough that will eventually go out to the masses. And because I love our customers, I test each and every batch that we make to ensure quality and consistency. As I test day in and day out I am baffled as to why I don't become ill from the amount of cookie dough I ingest. I suppose I could sample less, but it's so good I always am going back for more! All this and my butt is still in tact. SO, if you feel like you're alone in your cookie dough addiction, be sure that you are not alone... I am with you, and I am certain there are many others.
Don't get me wrong, I eat healthy throughout the day (always vegan, mostly organic, and nothing processed), but I have always believed that dessert is something to be had at any time of day, and when you feel like it.

Good things for Spring!

Yay for Spring sales! Let's see, we're on sale right NOW at Rainbow Grocery in San Francisco, and will be on sale in all Mollie Stone stores come June. A good time to stock up on cookie dough. It freezes well too, so if you want to stash some away for 'safe' keeping there is always the freezer option (even though it has quite a hefty refrigerated shelf-life).

THEN, Once July rolls around there are big happenings. EatPastry cookie dough is officially launching our GLUTEN-FREE Chocolate Chunk (which is really unbelievable folks, and I don't lie...ever) into all Wholefoods Markets throughout California. That's right, our products are finally going to be available at Wholefoods Markets in NorCal this July too!!!
Aaaaaaand we will be on sale the second half of July in Wholefoods down here in SoCal. Another stocking up situation for those of you who regularly partake in cookie or cookie dough devouring ;)

All good things that make us happy. Hope they make you happy too.

SO. Our website www.eatpastry.com has been updated to include a Press tab (small yes, with plenty of room to grow ;)
The site now also includes an updated Products page - with the new addition --- Gluten-Free Chocolate Chunk! So much yum in one place should be illegal. Really.

Well, it seems as though the ending weeks of March bring Spring, yes, this is true. It also seems to have spurred both of our Mother's to come visit us on back-to-back weeks. I wonder if putting our ol' momma's to work in the Eatpastry kitchen classifies as unpaid labor...?

Gluten-Free cookie dough!

Oh yes, it's true. Unbelievable, maybe. Impossible, no. We are in fact coming out with a GLUTEN-FREE Chocolate Chunk cookie dough. Still 100% Vegan and 100% Yummy. Seriously guys, these little cookies are undoubtedly delicious. Look for it on shelves in about a month or two. I'll be sure to keep you updated on it's progression. HOOOooooray!

Well fellow vegan cookie lovers.... Our cookie dough is now available in natural food stores throughout California (north aaaaaand south), Hawaii, and in the Las Vegas Blvd Wholefoods Market.
Our website is finally up at www.eatpastry.com, which is doing a fine job of offering up product and company information, BUT just so you know...there is an amazing animated site in the works as we speak! It's insanely cool, so look forward to monsters, mountains, and little talking raisins...

Slowly and steadily, Eatpastry has provided markets throughout SoCal (San Diego, Orange County, and the greater Los Angeles area) with vegan goodness in the form of COOKIE DOUGH!!!
